What is it?

This is Telemundo’s Holidays spot for the 2022 season.

What did we do?

When Telemundo contacted us for this project, one of the first things that they said was that they wanted to have a lot of lights in the spot. So, our director David Navarro immediately started to work on a variety of ideas of how to integrate the lights and make a fun, fast paced and vibrant spot. For that, he proposed to create a multilayer set with blocks of string lights on the sides and back that could be interactive with the talent.

So, besides the director’s proposal, our team was in charge of the production, including the set design and its construction which was a challenge of its own. Additionally, we worked on the post-production of the campaign, including editing, color correction, sound design and audio mix.

Who else was involved?

Telemundo’s Creative Marketing team created the script and its production team supported us coordinating the schedule of Telemundo’s talent, as well as the convenience to shoot in one of the studios at Telemundo Center. Additionally, we had the special support of the Telemundo’s team of stylists that created outstanding looks for all the talents.

The original music for the spot was created by our audio partner Chaliwa Music+Audio.

What gear did we use?

We shot the campaign with the Alexa Mini LF paired with Lomo lenses. One of the reasons we chose these lenses is that the flares they produce are some the most aesthetically pleasing while still being contrasty. Overall, they produce an impressive cinematic look.

We used a tecno crane as camera support, because it allowed us to move freely everywhere in the set and create dynamic shots without the shakiness of the handheld or the stiffness and slow set up of a dolly.

What was the result?

The result is a fast moving and fast paced spot with vibrant visuals that surely grab the audience’s attention and get them in the mood for the holidays.
