What is it?
This is a spot to promote Discovery en Español GO, an app that allows Discovery’s U.S. Hispanic subscribers to enjoy the channel’s content at anytime and anywhere just by using its mobile platform.
What did we do?
For this project we worked in every stage of the process, from idea to final delivery of the spot. First, we presented the creative proposal to the client. Then we worked on the pre-production process, including talent casting, location scouting, and camera tests, among many other tasks. The spot was shot in five different locations, in just one day (we’re not going to lie, it was a long day!)
Also we were in charge of the spot’s post-production, including: editing, color correction, graphic design and animation, sound design and audio mix.
Who else was involved?
We worked with Discovery’s U.S. Hispanic creative director, Antonio Rojas, and its creative manager, Jose Gomez. We’ve been working with them for years, they’re always involved in every step of the project, and it’s always a pleasure to work with them.
What gear did we use?
The director’s vision for this spot required that the camera follow the perspective of our main character while he was doing his daily activities, like using public transit, having an in-person office meeting, having lunch, hanging out with friends, etc. So to accomplish this, we had to build a custom-made camera rig that allowed us to place the camera on the back of the talent, so we could see the subject’s perspective at all times.
What was the result?
The result is a very dynamic and visually interesting spot that depicts how people consume content nowadays: anytime and anywhere.
