What is it?

This is the main spot for the news brand campaign for Noticias Telemundo. Shot within the Telemundo studios, this spot features the entire team of news anchors. The overarching concept behind this campaign was to portray the Noticias Telemundo team as a swift, trustworthy, and reliable news source for the Hispanic audience in the United States.

What did we do?

We took charge of the entire production process, from the pre-production, including the director’s proposal, to the production and post-production of the spot. Telemundo’s creative team envisioned the spot as featuring their news anchors walking through a tunnel filled with information. Our director, David Navarro, expanded upon this concept, creating a visually rich and immersive experience where the talents would be surrounded by the screens displaying news footage, capturing every angle of the anchors as they analyze the news around them.

To bring this vision to life, our team constructed two LED screen walls that were slightly wider at the front. The floor was crafted from acrylic material, reflecting the screens and enhancing the immersive experience. To extend the depth of the tunnel, we incorporated an extension made from Astera light tubes, mirroring the rectangular shape of the screens. These lights were meticulously choreographed to captivating light show.

Who else was involved?

We collaborated closely with the Telemundo creative team to ensure that the director’s proposal was aligned with the overall strategy and primary goal of the campaign. Additionally, Telemundo’s team played a crucial role in coordinating logistics for the production within their studio, as well as managing the coordination with the different news anchors.

What gear did we use?

We shot this spot with the Alexa Mini LF paired with Cooke lenses. The camera was affixed to a Techno-crane, a telescopic arm mounted on compact base that can be accommodated in various confined spaces. This specialized arm greatly facilitate the attainment of a consistently symmetric composition and allowed for fluid camera movements without the need for a track.

What was the result?

The result is a fast-paced, dynamic, and visually rich spot that not only presents Noticias Telemundo as a trustworthy news source for the Hispanic community but also serves to quickly grab the audience’s attention.
