telemundo | planifica tu vacuna (plan your vaccine)
What is it?
This is the main spot for Telemundo’s “Planifica tu vacuna” (Plan your vaccine) campaign. The main goal of the campaign was to spread the word in the US Latin community about the importance of planning for the vaccine shot. This project was part of NBCU’s national campaign to inform its audience through their different channels and platforms about the Covid-19 vaccine.
In the campaign we see Telemundo’s main On-Air talent in a behind the scenes and intimate setting delivering this important message to its audience in a warm, engaging and likeable way.
The campaign had multiple spots with different durations that were use on On-Air and Telemundo’s social media profiles.
What did we do?
It was a real pleasure to work on this campaign because after being quarantining at our homes for what it felt like ages, the imminent deployment of the Covid-19 vaccine gave us hope for the months ahead.
When Telemundo contacted us for the project, they already had the script and they knew that they wanted a black and white look, in order to create a color highlight on the vaccine band-aid.
Our director, David Navarro, ideated this unique black and white behind-the-scenes world and its visual language. Our art team was in charge of recreating the director’s vision into reality. Besides, our production team was in charge of all the aspects concerning to the pre-production and shoot day, such as: location scouting, location rental, tech scout, talent scheduling, among many others.
Also we were in charge of the post-production, including: editing, color correction, sound design and audio mix.
Who else was involved?
We worked hand-in-hand with Telemundo’s creative team in order to guarantee that the director’s vision was aligned with NBCU’s main campaign look. We also worked closely with its production logistics’ team, who help us coordinating the schedules and needs for the channel’s talents.
Telemundo’s On-Air talent was in charge of delivering the important message about planning the vaccine shot to its audience. From Julio Vaqueiro of “Telemundo Noticias”, to Adamari López of “Hoy Día”, to Cristian Chávez of “La Suerte de Loli”, all eight talents were incredible supportive during the production and did a great job conveying their messages in a personal and intimate way.
What gear did we use?
For this campaign we used the Alexa Mini camera paired it with a Zoom lens Premier 18-85mm. Since we had eight talents, four different set-ups one and just one day to shoot, this Zoom lens allowed us to accomplish all the different shots without having to change lenses, saving us a lot of time on set. And believe us, the Executive Producer was really pleased about this!
What was the result?
The result is a visually stunning and dynamic spot with a message that is still as relevant as the moment that it was shot.
